White lotus flowers, rice, purity, stretch marks, lace dresses, light. These white things have accompanied me throughout my life, bringing me pain, joy, and direction, shaping who I am. From birth to adulthood, the constraints of my environment were suffocating, affecting my mother and leaving me deeply afraid. I no longer wish to explore the strict demands and praise symbolised by white. Now, white is simply white, and anyone can see their own colour within it.
